If what you're looking for is the sea, crystal-clear, this track will take you, after crossing the centre of the island, towards the enchanting coasts of the southeast of Sardinia where sometimes the sky merges with the sea in a unique and spectacular horizon.

Day 1 - Arrival in Cagliari
Arrival in Cagliari in the late afternoon or evening.
Meeting with Ichnusabike staff and transfer to Barumini, little town of the hinterland, famous for the most known nuraghe of the island, Su Nuraxi, considered part of the world heritage by the Unesco.
Arrival at the hotel, accommodation, delivery of the Roadbook and maps and briefing on the bike tour.

Day 2 - Laconi
This short but intense lap will give you the opportunity to visit the majestic nuragical fortress of Barumini and see the small horses of the plateau of Giara di Gesturi. From here you can enjoy a wonderful sight of the landscape of this area of central Sardinia.
After a slight uphill slope, you will arrive in Laconi, a holiday resort in the province of Nuoro where you can visit the museum of the Menhirs, the park and the ruins of the castle that belonged to the marquis of Aymerich.

Day 3 – Seui
This is probably the most difficult lap of the tour.
Once you leave the hotel in Laconi, after a few kilometres uphill until the Ortuabis and Sa casa passes, the road will be mainly downhill and will lead you to Seui, small town in the Ogliastra region along the side of a mountain which is built in layers.
By bike: approx. 62 km – Total Ascent: 1418 m

Day 4 - Jerzu
From Seui you’ll pass the natural oasis of Montarbiu and the lunar landscapes of the Valley of Taquisara until you reach Jerzu, town renowned for its excellent Cannonau wine.
By bike: approx 43 km – Total Ascent: 965 m

Day 5 - Costarei
Finally the sea!
From Jerzu, in the heart of Ogliastra, up to Perdasdefogu** and then to Escalaplano, you’ll reach Ballao where you’ll be transferred to Costarei, beautiful seaside resort on the south-eastern coast of Sardinia.
By Bike approx. 48 km - – Total Ascent: 600 m

Day 6 - Costarei
Day of rest after the climbing of the previous days.
The sea is at a few meters from the hotel: visit the beautiful beaches and places near Costarei.
By Bike approx. 28 km – Total Ascent: 340 m

Day 7 - Villasimius
More sea in today’s lap.
Following the coast from Costarei to Villasimius you cannot miss a visit to the inlets of Cala Sinzias and Cala Pira.
Once you reach Villasimius you’ll find the beach at a few hundreds of meters from the hotel.
If you prefer, we suggest you visit the fascinating beach of Porto Giunco.

Day 8 - Leaving
Our services end after breakfast, when we’ll say good-bye and leave unless you’ve chosen to extend your stay.
If you’ve chosen to be transferred, our vehicle will take you to Cagliari, otherwise you may decide to go by bike (approx. 50 km) or use public transport following our directions.
